Terms and Conditions

Appointments for Osteopathic Treatment

  1. Every patient who has not been to this Clinic before requires a new patient appointment lasting approximately 55 minutes, and to register with this Clinic.

  2. Patients who have registered at this Clinic and have already had a new patient appointment, will need a standard appointment (also known as a follow-up appointment or a returning patient appointment), lasting approximately 30 minutes.

  3. New patient appointments can be booked with our reception staff, in person or on the telephone.

  4. Standard appointments can be booked online via the website and the app, or with reception staff or osteopaths in person or on the telephone.

  5. By booking an appointment, you agree to pay the current fee for the consultation and for treatment, to Warminster Osteopathic Clinic.

  6. The fee is due when you arrive for your appointment.

  7. We accept all major debit and credit cards, plus cheques (made payable to Warminster Osteopathic Clinic), cash and Clinic gift vouchers (see below).

  8. The current fees are listed on the website on the Book Your Appointment page and in reception.

  9. If you give us your mobile phone number, we will send you a text reminder before your appointment (48-24 hours before).

  10. If you give us your email address, we will send you an email reminder before your appointment (48-24 hours before).

  11. You may cancel or reschedule your appointment up to 24 hours before the date and time of your appointment by telephone or in person.

  12. Please let us know as soon as you can if you cannot/do not wish/do not need to come for your appointment. We can then offer that appointment time to another patient. We usually have a waiting list of patients wanting appointments.

Late Cancellations and No Shows

  1. If you cancel your appointment less than 24 hours before the appointment date and time, we may charge you a late cancellation fee of half the full amount for that appointment. For example, the late cancellation fee for a standard appointment (costing £52) is £26.

  2. If you do not cancel your appointment and do not arrive for that appointment, we may charge you the late cancellation fee as above.

British Forces Discounts/Defence Discount Service

From 1 February 2023, we are offering a 10% discount, only under the following conditions:

  1. Discount applies to New Patient Osteopathy with Jonathan Penny or New Patient Osteopathy with Ruth Haskew or New Patient Osteopathy with Christopher Aust.

  2. Patient must produce their own current British Forces Discounts/Defence Discount Service card.

Full price for New Patient Osteopathy with Jonathan Penny or Ruth Haskew or Christopher Aust is £64.00. The 10% discount reduces this by £6.40, to £57.60.

Gift Vouchers for osteopathic treatment

  1. Gift vouchers are available for treatment with any of our osteopaths.

  2. Gift vouchers are valid for 365 days from date of purchase. This means they must be redeemed for an appointment/appointments which takes place inside 365 days from date of purchase.

  3. If the fee for appointments increases between the purchase date and the redemption date/s, the original fee amount will be honoured. For example, a new patient gift voucher (costing £60 in April 2023 and £64 in April 2024), will purchase a new patient appointment at any time within 365 days from purchase, even if the fee for the appointment increases.

  4. When redeeming the gift voucher, you will need to give us the voucher code, so please keep this safely.

  5. To redeem the voucher, book your appointment either by telephone, in person, via our online booking on the website or on the app.

  6. Booking online or via the app is currently (April 2024) available for patients already registered at this Clinic. New patients please book by telephone or in person. New patients need to complete a registration form and to book an appointment lasting approximately 55 minutes which is not available online.

  7. If booking by telephone or in person, tell the Receptionist you are redeeming a voucher, and give the code. This works in place of standard methods of payment.

  8. If booking online on the website or the app (not available for new patient appointments), choose your osteopath and the appointment date and time to suit you. Fill in your personal details and then enter the voucher code when prompted to do so. This works in place of standard methods of payment. Our booking system will note that you have paid, and we will not charge you when you come for your appointment.

  9. Gift vouchers are available for a specific appointment type (eg a new patient appointment) and also for a set amount of money (eg £100). When redeeming a voucher for a set amount of money, the balance on the voucher will be reduced by the value of the appointment booked until the balance is zero. Any remaining fee will need to be paid for by the patient at the time of the appointment. Here is an illustration to clarify:

    • Mrs S Claus purchases a gift voucher for £100 and gives this to Mr S Claus as a Christmas present. Mr Claus has not been to the Clinic before.

    • He books a new patient appointment in January for £64 and gives his voucher code on booking. The £100 balance on the gift voucher is reduced to £36.

    • He books a standard appointment in February for £52 and gives his voucher code on booking. The £36 balance is reduced to £0 and he needs to pay £16.

Gift Vouchers for Massage & Acupuncture

These are available directly from Helen Jales and Ghislaine Ingman, not through the Clinic.
