Kim is a Solution Focused Clinical Hypnotherapist and Clinical Hypnotherapy Supervisor. She successfully trained for two years with Chrysalis, gaining Diplomas in Hypnotherapy and Counselling and Psychotherapy. Kim has continued her professional development through The Clifton Practice in Bristol, a recognised centre of excellence for Hypnotherapy training, gaining further Diplomas in Solution Focused Brief Therapy Skills (SFBT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Skills (CBT). She has attended various seminars including Self-Hypnosis for Childbirth and The Impact of Hypnosis on Pain and Disease.
Kim has gained the Level 5 Accredited Hypnotherapy Supervisor Qualification and is able to offer help and support to other Hypnotherapists through her knowledge and experience and further promote Hypnotherapy and its many benefits.
Kim offers a professional and caring approach to her practice and combines Hypnotherapy with SFBT and CBT skills to help with a range of issues including Stress and Anxiety, Insomnia, Confidence and Self Esteem, Weight Management, Smoking Cessation, Habits, Childbirth, Performance Anxiety (Examinations, Presentations, Public Speaking, Driving Tests, etc) and much more. She attends frequent supervision sessions, courses and workshops to keep up to date and increase her knowledge base.
Kim is a member of the Hypnotherapy Society and abides by their strict code of Standards and Ethics. The Hypnotherapy Society is recognised and accredited by the National Regulatory Register for Hypnotherapy. She also belongs to the United Kingdom Association for Solution Focused Practice (UKASFP), the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapists (AfSFH), The General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR) and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).
As a member of the CNHC, the UK regulator for complementary healthcare, Kim has become one of the first in the country to achieve a new national standard of excellence for her therapy. This recognition places her at the forefront of a national drive to provide a benchmark for standards and safety for the public. Practitioners registered with the CNHC meet national occupational standards and abide by a rigorous code of conduct, performance and ethics.
